Plot
Meta has never been the same since her boyfriend, Sam, died in a tragic accident.
Ever since his death, she’s been plagued by terrifying visions and believes a mysterious spirit is following her wherever she goes.
Her two closest friends, Dona and Kesi, refuse to believe her, and convinced that Meta’s trauma has caused her to lose touch with reality, they begin distancing themselves just when she needs them most.
But as the strange incidents become more frequent, the terror starts reaching beyond Meta herself.
When her friends begin experiencing the same unexplained events, they realise the haunting is real – and whatever is stalking Meta has no intention of stopping until it claims all of them.

Style and Presentation
This is a psychological supernatural horror that focuses on trauma, grief, and the uncertainty of whether the main character can trust her own mind.
The story starts as an intimate character drama before gradually introducing increasingly disturbing supernatural events., where it builds suspense through Meta’s isolation and the growing doubt surrounding what she is experiencing.
As the haunting spreads to those closest to her, the film shifts from psychological mystery into a more traditional supernatural thriller.
Cultural Context
Indonesian horror frequently explores the connection between emotional trauma and the supernatural, with grief often acting as the catalyst for ghostly encounters.
Kamu Harus Mati follows that tradition by combining psychological horror with a classic haunting story, while placing friendship and trust at the centre of the narrative.
Instead of focusing on folklore or black magic, the film asks whether trauma can make someone vulnerable to forces that others cannot initially see or understand.
