New Asian Horror Movie Trailers Released This Week Logo

This weeks trailer hunt has given us new material from Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and India, and there are some genuinely small releases in here, too, so here are the ones worth knowing about this week, as of writing, as always.

Amazing Monster / アメイジング・モンスター

Release: 2027

Amazing Monster is a completely original Japanese horror-comedy / panic fantasy horror directed and written by Hidenobu Abera, with former AKB48 member Ryoka Oshima making her feature-film lead debut – the film takes place in a town where smiling and cleanliness are effectively compulsory, with the population subjected to a bizarre form of brainwashing.

Cộng Trừ Nhân Chia is a psychological horror/thriller set inside an elite school, where familiar classrooms and corridors become the setting for a much darker mystery, where the film’s tagline is basically a threat in itself – some calculations have a human life as the answer.

Country: Malaysia

Pemuja Syaitan, also known as Satanist, follows a group of former school friends who reunite on a remote island, where they discover an old time capsule containing secrets that were very clearly better left buried.

Country: Thailand
Release: October 29, 2026

TAME / เลี้ยงไม่เชื่อง comes from BrandThink Cinema. where the film’s horror setup seems to be around the use of belief, superstition and the idea of making people “tame”.

Nayyi Navelli

Country: India
Release: October 16, 2026

Nayyi Navelli seems to feature some witch folklore and supernatural horror elements, but it’s also a very playful horror-comedy as well, which stars Yami Gautam stars as Mohini, a new daughter-in-law whose arrival throws the Awasthi family into chaos, where the family suspect that she could be a daayan, or witch.

About The Author

I am a fan of movies in general and watch quite a few every week, but my love for Asian horror started in the 90’s during the J-horror boom – you know the ones – and ever since then I’ve been hooked on discovering horror from across Asia, from the classics everyone knows to the hidden gems that deserve a much bigger audience.

On this site I explore Asian horror movies from across Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, Cambodia, Malaysia, and beyond, since the big entertainment sites tend to focus only on the biggest releases.
