Sealed Video 86: Jinmenmushi Gets December 2026 DVD Release in Japan

Sealed Video 86: Jinmenmushi / 封印映像86 人面虫 is bringing another collection of supposedly cursed footage to Japanese horror fans this December, with the 86th entry in the long-running Fūin Eizō found-footage series scheduled for release on DVD on December 2, 2026.

As usual with the Fūin Eizō series, the appeal is in the collection of supposedly recovered or unexplained footage rather than one continuous conventional horror story.

The title segment, “Jinmenmushi”, translates as “Human-Faced Insect”, which is enough to give this particular volume a pretty clear horror hook, while the remaining segments are “Dragging Aberration,” “Unknown Child,” and “Easy Part-Time Job.”

There isn’t much publicly available plot information for the individual segments yet though, so I wouldn’t read too much into the titles alone, but the first of those is obviously the most immediately striking title, while the other three titles suggest a mixture of unexplained creatures or phenomena, potentially disturbing footage involving a child, and a seemingly ordinary situation that goes wrong.

Until more details are released, though, the segment titles are about as far as it is sensible to go.

Sealed Video 86: Jinmenmushi is the 86th instalment of the Japanese Fūin Eizō series, making this far from a standalone found-footage experiment – the series has spent years building its identity around allegedly sealed, suppressed or unexplained recordings.
