Another week, another batch of Asian horror trailers, although this time the list is a bit smaller, as I could only find 5 as time of writing.
Warga Rusun 609

The final trailer for Warga Rusun 609 arrived this week, ahead of the film’s October 1 Indonesian theatrical release – Morgan Oey plays Arka, a wealthy and popular student whose relationship with Bunga, played by Ranty Maria, ends badly after a stupid bet, and Bunga subsequently dies so her ghost decides to take up residence in apartment 609, which is already occupied by a collection of residents dealing with a completely different problem – the threat of being relocated.
Pirunduk

Pirunduk has its full trailer premiere after its teaser release the other week – the film is set in South Kalimantan during the 1980s and takes its central idea from the Banjar belief in pirunduk, a form of mystical practice associated with influencing or subduing another person – it is directed by Billy Christian, who has been working in Indonesian genre cinema for years, and the film is scheduled for October 22.
Sumpah Darah

Sumpah Darah gave us its first-look teaser, which is directed by Cornelio Sunny and stars Asmara Abigail and Dwi Sasono – the teaser introduces Asmara Abigail’s character Mara and gives us the first proper taste of a story involving blood, family and some very bad decisions.
After 79 House / HOME79 / ផ្ទះក្រោយ៧៩

After 79 House, also marketed as HOME79 and ផ្ទះក្រោយ៧៩, is scheduled to hit Cambodian cinemas on October 1, with RSB Cinema specifically promoting screenings from that date, but I couldn’t find too much other information!
Quỷ Ăn Tạng 4: Hổ Tinh / Death Whisperer: Saming the Werebeast

The Quỷ Ăn Tạng 4: Hổ Tinh full trailer came out, bringing the latest chapter of the Thai Tee Yod / Death Whisperer horror franchise back into the spotlight – the English title is Death Whisperer: Saming the Werebeast, and this one is actually a prequel rather than a straightforward continuation of the previous films.
Nadech Kugimiya returns as Yak, but the story goes back to an earlier point in his life when he encounters Sergeant Paphan, played by Ongart Cheamcharoenpornkul, where the pair head into a mysterious forest while searching for a missing intelligence unit, where they encounter the Saming – a supernatural creature capable of transforming and hunting humans.

Tunnel 26: The Curse Beneath the Mountain

Tunnel 26: The Curse Beneath the Mountain is a Bhutan-Nepal-India co-production, written and directed by DD Kinley, and much of the film is in Dzongkha, Bhutan’s national language – the film is set around a hydroelectric tunnel in Bhutan, where a disaster traps people underground and a rescue operation develops into something much worse, which is being described as a zombie horror/supernatural horror film.
