Death House 2026

Plot

Two sisters return to an isolated family property after years of being away.

At first, it feels like something they can deal with, but the longer they stay, the more the place starts to feel wrong.

Strange things begin happening inside the house, and it slowly becomes clear that something about the property is still active, like it never really stopped affecting the people connected to it.

As tension builds between the sisters, they realize they might not be dealing with something that can be easily escaped.

Style and Presentation

This is a slow-burn Cambodian haunted house film built around isolation and family tension.

It leans into that familiar Cambodian horror style where atmosphere builds first, and the supernatural elements come in gradually rather than all at once.

Cultural Context

Cambodian horror often uses family homes, inherited land, and rural properties as the centre of supernatural stories.

The idea of a house carrying memory or spiritual weight is a common theme in regional folklore, where places tied to family history are believed to hold lingering energy.

Death House fits into that tradition, where the horror is tied to inheritance, presence, and the idea that some spaces don’t fully reset when new people move in.

Notes

  • Haunted family house setting
  • Focus on sisters and inherited property
  • Slow escalation supernatural horror
  • Atmosphere-driven Cambodian storytelling
