It’s a busy week for horror fans across Asia, with several new releases arriving in theaters.

Indonesia (July 16):

• Cek Khodam – A comedy-horror about YouTubers teaming up with ghosts to make people fear the supernatural again.

• Lastri: Arwah Kembang Desa (Lastri: The Spirit of the Village Belle) – A vengeful spirit returns to haunt the villagers who drove her to suicide 30 years earlier.

• Ghost Buzzer: Antar Aku Pulang (Ghost Buzzer: Take Me Home) – A family-friendly comedy-horror following four friends who help a ghost solve a mystery.

Thailand & Laos (July 16):

• Wrecked (กองกอย) – A Thailand–Laos co-production about content creators who encounter a mysterious forest spirit.

Cambodia (July 14):

• The Sheltress (ផ្ទះអ្នកណា) – A comedy-horror centered on a haunted house and a group of friends.

Japan (July 17):

• AnyMart (チルド) – A horror film set inside a convenience store with a dose of social commentary.

China (July 17):

• The Haunting of Lin Family House 37 (林家宅37号) – A haunted house horror.
