Plot

In modern-day Seoul, strange supernatural cases start spreading across the city, where possessions, ritual killings, and unexplained events begin to pile up, and it quickly becomes clear something bigger is going on underneath it all.

When the police can’t handle it anymore, they end up turning to a small group known as “Holy Night” – a team that deals with demonic cases that normal law enforcement can’t touch.

The team is pulled into a case involving a young girl showing signs of possession, and what starts as a single investigation slowly turns into something much larger and more dangerous than expected.

Style and Presentation

This one leans more into action-horror than pure atmosphere-based horror, and a lot of it is built around the idea of demon hunting teams dealing with outbreaks of possession and cult activity across the city.

It mixes supernatural elements with more physical, fight-heavy sequences, so it doesn’t really stay in one tone the whole time, with some parts feeling more like an action film, while others lean into exorcism and ritual horror.

Cultural Context

Korean horror has been shifting more into hybrid territory lately, mixing traditional exorcism themes with action and fantasy elements.

Instead of slow folklore-based horror, this film sits more in the modern “demon task force” style -where spiritual cases are treated almost like criminal investigations.

It still pulls from familiar ideas like possession, cult activity, and exorcism rituals, but presents them in a more fast-paced, cinematic way.

Notes

  • Supernatural action-horror hybrid
  • Focus on demon hunting team (“Holy Night”)
  • Includes possession and cult storyline
  • Mix of exorcism rituals and action sequences
